Kindergarten
At Sparkles International School, our Kindergarten programme provides a joyful and nurturing environment where young children learn, explore, and grow with confidence. Aligned with the CBSE curriculum, our early learning approach combines Montessori and Play-Way teaching methods to make learning enjoyable and meaningful.
Through storytelling, music, creative activities, movement, and hands-on experiences, children develop curiosity, creativity, and essential life skills. Our Playgroup, Pre-KG, KG1, and KG2 programmes focus on physical, social, emotional, language, and cognitive development.
With caring educators, individual attention, and engaging learning experiences, we encourage children to express themselves, build friendships, and discover their unique abilities. At Sparkles International School, Kalaburagi, we believe every child deserves a strong beginning. Our Kindergarten programme lays the foundation for confident, independent, and enthusiastic lifelong learners.
OVERVIEW AND CURRICULUM
Children in playgroup must be between the ages of one and two and a half, as determined at the beginning of the school year. A child’s first independent experience outside of their home, which is typically centred around their primary carer, the mother, occurs during playgroup. Naturally, this must be a brief period of time of the day in order to prepare for later longer academic programmes. An recommended amount of time for playgroup school is three hours. More than this amount of time per day is not advised as it disrupts the children’s regular physiological rhythm, causing them to become physically and psychologically exhausted.
At SPARKLES, PreKG begins with acclimating and introducing kids to their new everyday environment. Children are introduced to EPL (Exercise of Practical Life) and sensorial materials after settling in, which can take up to 3 weeks in most cases. In addition, kids also play with open-ended toys like blocks and natural materials from the environment. The typical curriculum includes doing campus outdoor walks and gathering natural items. Rhyme time includes both traditional kindergarten songs and finger rhymes. There is a lot of emphasis on kids moving around during circle time in animal movements, etc.
At Sparkles International School, our KG 1 programme strengthens the foundation built during Pre-KG through engaging learning experiences. Children are introduced to alphabets and numbers using Montessori tools, tracing activities, and hands-on materials. These activities encourage sensory exploration, fine motor development, and early writing skills.
During circle time, children enjoy vocabulary-rich rhymes, storytelling, and creative role-playing. These experiences help improve language development, imagination, communication, confidence, and social skills. Our activity-based learning approach makes every lesson enjoyable while encouraging children to express themselves and learn independently.
At Sparkles, we focus on nurturing curious minds and building strong early learning foundations for every child.
