Welcome to Sparkles International School
For kids between the ages of 1 and 5 12 years, kindergarten adopts an integrated approach to early learning. Our KG course is in line with the CBSE national curriculum and successfully integrates Montessori and Play-Way teaching methods. We give our kindergarten students a setting that emphasises play, movement, and language. Traditional teaching and learning approaches may no longer be sufficient to give students the skills they need to meet the many obstacles that the modern world presents. Our goal is to encourage children’s innate natural curiosity and a love of learning so they can develop into self-sufficient lifelong learners who can quickly adapt to any setting. The Playgroup, PREKG, KG1, and KG2 programmes smoothly integrate many fields of study to promote a young child’s physical, social, emotional, language, and cognitive development. A young learner’s journey of varied inquiry and expanding experiences is wonderfully complemented by our carefully chosen classrooms. The extraordinary KG learning experience is enhanced by our staff of skilled early childhood educators and a great teacher-student ratio.
Children in playgroup must be between the ages of one and two and a half, as determined at the beginning of the school year. A child’s first independent experience outside of their home, which is typically centred around their primary carer, the mother, occurs during playgroup. Naturally, this must be a brief period of time of the day in order to prepare for later longer academic programmes. An recommended amount of time for playgroup school is three hours. More than this amount of time per day is not advised as it disrupts the children’s regular physiological rhythm, causing them to become physically and psychologically exhausted.
At SPARKLES, PreKG begins with acclimating and introducing kids to their new everyday environment. Children are introduced to EPL (Exercise of Practical Life) and sensorial materials after settling in, which can take up to 3 weeks in most cases. In addition, kids also play with open-ended toys like blocks and natural materials from the environment. The typical curriculum includes doing campus outdoor walks and gathering natural items. Rhyme time includes both traditional kindergarten songs and finger rhymes. There is a lot of emphasis on kids moving around during circle time in animal movements, etc.
At SPARKLES, KG 1 is characterised by comprehensive review of all subject covered in PreKG as well as a formal introduction to the alphabet and numbers through tracing using Montessori tools and small movables. Because youngsters are still extremely sensitive to touch until they are between 3 and 4 years old, tracing is crucial. Therefore, they may assimilate sensory and muscle memory impressions, whether they are letters of the alphabet or numbers. During circle time, the rhymes and stories become a little more vocab-rich, and improvised role-playing based on the stories spoken is encouraged to help kids develop their self-assurance and social skills.
